directorial debut of Dario Argento, this film is a small miracle of Italian cinema. Although not the first film to introduce the role of the Assassin tricolor completely dressed in black, with gloves and hat (six women for the murderess - Mario Bava), is that really the kind customs clearance between the general public. In fact, after a seemingly disastrous start at the box office, the film finds a blockbuster and launched the fashion yellow Italian directors as colleagues, even with explicit citations in the use of animals in the titles of their works by drawing large public. In the film, everything works perfectly: power to the stars, visions, evil, heart-pounding pursuits, habits directing cutting-edge. The solution, as in all the early work of Silver, is unexpected and upsetting. Effective use of a framework naive, childish and totally away from the most successful techniques of painting, which serves as a link between the deaths that begin to disrupt Rome and a secret past mysteriously returned to the surface. The music of Ennio Morricone is simply entrancing: it is very special track that echoes the title of the movie where a woman sigh of doubt creeps in an embrace or mortal agony. Little-noticed acting Tony Musante, the protagonist, which Silver had many problems, but the star of the film is the beautiful Eva Renzi, with a character to discover.
